Legend has it that Lisa was born with a brush in her hand. So it’s no surprise she has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty biz as an owner and stylist extraordinaire.
"I fell in love with this industry since my first makeover in the 8th grade."
Obsessive about color, styling and healthy hair, she treats her craft, clients and team with the upmost dignity. So to know Lisa is to understand her philosophy about creating a culture of education, artistry and continuous growth.
A life goal that overflows into the community of San Dimas and the San Gabriel Valley as chairperson of the Business Marketing IXXX, where she networks with other business owners who promote various local events.
And when it comes to passion, there’s no greater evidence than the smile on a client’s face as Lisa swirls the chair around and faces them toward the mirror.
“I love bringing out the best in others and giving them the confidence to be their best,”
Although balancing work, art and play isn’t always easy, you can find Lisa with her husband, Greg, and two pampered pooches cheering on their favorite football team, the Carolina Panthers most Sundays, when the salon is dark.
This California cool beauty merges color artistry and meticulous cutting and styling savvy to create workable glamour for her loyal following. Elsa’s 19 years of experience make it easy to see why clients flock in from all over Southern California for her color and hair extensions expertise. Her focus is clear from the moment she touches a client’s hair.
“I want something they can go home and recreate. We educate our clients how to look great in and out of the salon.”
It’s a philosophy that carries over into the salon environment carefully crafted by she and Lisa D.
“We wanted to create a culture where everyone can learn and grow not just as stylists, but as people, as artists.”
So it’s no wonder that this market maven and artist views success one head at a time.
"Our goal is to be intentional with every client, fully servicing them and fulfilling their individual hair needs.”
Dani is part of the original team of stylists who started at Platform when the doors opened in 2006. It has been her home-away-from-home and hair art studio ever since.
“Doing hair gives me a creative outlet while making people feel good,” said the vintage rocker, whose steady hands and spirit keep Platform’s beauty vibe flowing. "I’ve always been fascinated with the process of change, even as a kid, and what better career to be in and witness it first-hand.”
Working with color and Micro Bead Hair Extensions are just a few of her talents which include a killer blowout and styling, as well as, customized cuts for each individual.
Dani knows her craft and isn’t afraid to showcase the latest trends or simply show off a client’s natural curls with the right cut.
On her days off, you can find Dani listening to one of her favorite Latin Jazz bands at a concert or cruising a local art show. But besides her mad skills, it’s her open mind and warm heart that keeps her clients near and dear.
“What satisfies me is every day is something new,” explains this self-described vintage rocker.
“The added bonus is all the amazing, humbling stories I hear. I’ve gained a lot of wisdom from all the people who have sat in my chair."
Daniel came to Platform as talented, young stylist ready to rock out hair. His 18th Century Rock star vibe lends itself nicely to his clientele, who are looking for something unique and fresh.
“Women are usually more avant garde with color, but men are more so with haircuts.”
Balancing out the all-female styling team, Daniel has spent nearly 5 years at the salon honing his craft and technique through education and hands-on training. Men’s cuts are one of his specialties. He describes his approach as very precise and strategic.
“When a client comes through the door, I’m thinking, what’s gonna look good on them. I study their body language, style, as well as their hair needs"
It took a 2007 television show called, “Sheer Genius,” to launch this young stylist into the world of beauty.
“I spent a lot of time watching the Fashion Network when I was teenager. When that show came out, it showed me a lot of different, creative styling and really inspired me.”
In fact, makeovers in color are Cindy’s specialty.
“I love seeing transformations and seeing how much of an impact you can have on a person by giving them great hair,” said Cindy, who rocks an urban chic vibe with tousled short hair and bright, big eyes.
So selecting hair design as a career was an easy fit for this hardworking and studious hot shot.
“My approach when trying to make a client look great is having a detailed consultation with them. Seeing what their style and maintenance is and really just listening to them."
So jumping headfirst into Platform’s apprenticeship was a great fit for this passionate and fresh-faced talent.
Seeing how you can brighten someone's day by giving them awesome hair and a great experience is what really satisfies.”

"My goal is to do awesome color and weddings. I can't get enough of weddings."

"I am somewhat new to the area and stumbled across Platform Salon on yelp, I saw the good reviews and i thought what the heck! Lets give a shot. I was immediately impressed with how beautiful the building is inside and out. The girl at the front desk is always smiley and nice and they immediately offer you a beverage as soon as you walk in."
"I have been going to Platform Salon for 7 years and I see Angel Diaz... She always does an amazing job with my cut and color. I have also done a Keratin treatment with her. She is stylish and sweet and a great girl. When she is away on vacation I have gone with Elsa and Lisa and they have nailed my color both times."
